This book is a theory of plant dyeing in Japan. Numerous actual dyed yarn samples are pasted in to aid the reader's understanding. Includes two original woodblock prints by Momoho Hirafuku. All of the text paper is handmade Japanese paper (tsukimyo-shi), and the book is tastefully and beautifully bound with herb-dyed cotton cloth.
